3D Animation - Game Engines & Programming for Games Part-time Instructor
Part-time instructors work collaboratively with departmental faculty to ensure standard curriculum outcomes are met.
This position is considered a Responsible Employee under Title IX federal regulations and Mandatory Reporter under Texas state law and the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy. As a Mandatory Reporter, this position requires you as the employee to promptly report any incident that you witness or receive information about violating Title IX. These reporting responsibilities are set out in the UIW Sexual Misconduct Policy.
Prepare course outlines based on approved departmental syllabi.
Prepare assessments for assigned courses.
Work collaboratively with departmental faculty to ensure standard curriculum outcomes are met.
Collect paper work associated with using models.
Perform other duties in completion of teaching and grading process.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with full-time 3D faculty to maintain integrity of curriculum through effective instruction of game engines (Unity and Unreal) and game programming.
Knowledge of C# (Unity) and BluePrint (Unreal) required.
Must be knowledgeable and experienced in 3D animation softwares, studio hiring practices, and demo reel preparation.
BFA or BS in Game Design, Game Programming, Computer Science, or Game Production.
Required Work Experience
Significant experience in 3D animation to include Game Design and Production and high resolution film and TV projects.
Experience in both teaching and industry experience preferred.
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
Based on course assignment.
