Utah Valley University invites applications for a Graphic Designer to join its Student Affairs team in a unique, embedded role that blends creativity with purpose. As a dedicated designer for Student Affairs, you'll collaborate closely with UVU's central Marketing and Communications team-functioning as an internal agency-to craft impactful visual materials that elevate the student experience. From digital graphics and print collateral to full-scale campaigns, your work will help tell the story of Student Affairs in ways that are engaging, inclusive, and visually compelling.

Summary of Responsibilities


  • Create graphically designed content for print and digital assets, including the UVU website.
  • Foster key relationships with vendors, executive-level staff, university marketing, university printing, and the mail room to oversee the production and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Be instrumental in creative projects for the department with the support of an in-house creative team.
  • Develop visual communication standards and style guides for marketing materials across the Student Affairs division.


Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree and one year experience managing a portfolio of creative projects or an associate degree with three years' experience in similar duties or any combination of education and experience totaling five years.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge
  • Knowledge of graphic design and the creative process for both printed and on-line materials.
  • Knowledge of print and product materials and working with vendors. Skills
  • Highly organized with baseline project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and decision-making skills.
  • Skilled in a broad range of graphic design computer applications including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and XD. Abilities
  • Ability to be flexible with creative design.
  • Ability to manage challenging workload with multiple timelines.
  • Ability to organize and execute activities for current student.
