Job Description

Assistant Director, Marketing and Digital Engagement
The Boston College Career Center, a unit of the Division of Student Affairs, is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Director, Marketing & Digital Engagement.

Working with the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and the Career Center leadership team, the Assistant Director of Marketing and Digital Engagement manages the overall marketing and digital engagement strategy for the Career Center. The Assistant Director will work to increase the connection of the Career Center to various constituencies (e.g., students, campus partners and external partners) through the creation and delivery of engaging content that reinforces our work to ensure career discernment and career readiness are integrated throughout the student experience. Additionally, the Assistant Director also must be genuinely committed to engaging in meaningful dialogue and pursuing action that will improve social and racial justice.
The Boston College Career Center is the centralized career office for approximately 9,000 undergraduate students and 5,000 graduate students at Boston College. Our goal is to empower all Boston College students to lead meaningful personal and professional lives. We work closely with a broad array of partners to ensure that vocational discernment and career readiness are a university priority and work to integrate career development across the student life cycle. RESPONSIBILITIES😕 Design and implement the overall marketing and digital engagement strategy for the Boston College Career Center.? Oversee brand management through unified messaging and visuals, ensuring that all developed materials and communications are consistent with the brand guidelines for the Career Center and University.? Set strategy and produce content for the various communication and digital engagement channels used by the Career Center (email, blog, website, social media, etc.)? Analyze and leverage data to make informed decisions and find the most effective methods of engaging target audiences.? Collaborate with the internal diversity, equity, and inclusion committee to develop and implement an inclusive communications strategy that focuses on increasing engagement among students from underrepresented backgrounds.? Support Career Center team with promoting signature programs and events to relevant audiences.? Act as primary liaison between Career Center and Office of University Communications.? Manage the marketing budget, ensuring responsible allocation.? Supervise and mentor student marketing assistants. INTERESTED APPLICANTS SHOULD SUBMIT A COVER LETTER AND RESUME OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $57,850 to $72,300; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

? Bachelor's degree
? Two or more years of professional level experience in marketing/communications having demonstrated success producing effective marketing materials, both print and digital.
? Appreciation and understanding of the value of a Jesuit, Catholic Boston College education to prepare students for a life of purposeful work. Commitment to working with diverse populations (e.g. AHANA, LGBTQ, first generation).
? Exceptional interpersonal communication (written and oral) and organizational skills
? Proven ability to manage multiple projects, assess and shift priorities, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
? Ability to write and design clear, concise, and compelling material targeted to diverse audiences.
? Knowledge of and experience working with web development and web maintenance best practices. Proficiency with Google Analytics is a plus.
? Experience setting social media strategy and managing social media outlets.
? Experience managing email marketing campaigns.
? Proficiency with graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
? Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
? Experience with video production is a plus.
