Summary of Responsibilities

Teach courses associated with Animation program in the School of Digital Arts; create effective learning activities, projects, and assignments. Serve as Animation Program Director; develop and update curriculum relevant to current industry standards; assist with identifying appropriate, qualified adjunct instructors. Engage in departmental, college, and university service associated with WSU faculty promotion policies. Opportunities may include teaching in other areas of expertise depending upon department/program needs.

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in Animation or related field, or equivalent professional experience by hire date.

Minimum Experience
Experience developing Animation projects.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
I
Proficiency in 3D digital software(s).
Continuing/ongoing connection to the Animation industry.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to build and sustain collaborative professional relationships with a diverse constituency of faculty, staff, students, and community/industry partners.
Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and learning activities, including online and blended learning, flexible teaching methods, and applied learning approaches.
