Depending on educational background and experience, the successful candidate will teach at the undergraduate level, didactic and clinical, and possibly at the graduate level. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: Medical-Surgical Nursing; Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing; Maternal/Child Nursing, and or Community Health Nursing. Responsibilities also include: teaching online courses as needed; advising and mentoring a diverse population of undergraduate students; assisting with curricular development, implementation, and evaluation; participate in Program, Department, and University committees including participation at University Visit Days and new student orientation days; and undertaking a regular research program or other discipline related scholarly activity involving students as appropriate. Advancing Nursing at Mansfield University; excellence in teaching; continuing scholarly growth, and service to the University are required for tenure and promotion.
