Job Description
Tennessee State University Public Relations and Communications is seeking a Creative Services Manager to join our fast-paced team. The primary role is to provide impactful images for the purpose of advancing the division's mission and the Tennessee State University brand and ensures that the University has a large, high-quality photo library that reflects the University's visual identity. Individual must be a visual storyteller with an impressive portfolio. In addition to strong camera and computer skills, individual must have strong digital production skills, as well as writing and interviewing skills. Creative Manager will work to ensure all creatives from this area are produced in a timely fashion and meet outlined requirements and expectations.

Major duties
* Shoots high quality digital images and video footage, as requested, to meet the University's needs for marketing, web and news coverage.
* Works with the writing, web and design staff to bring initiatives and creative items from conception to completion.
* Continually updates University stock photography files of campus locations, buildings, faculty, staff and students.
* Serves as a main resource for an online photo database and works to ensure correct classifications and image details.
* In collaboration with design staff, develops a recognizable University photo style to become an element in the University's visual identity.
* Budgets time and office resources to ensure photographic work is done efficiently and in a way that reflects University priorities. Responds to requests from other campus units.
* Coordinates the recruitment and oversight of freelance photographers, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
Some college coursework from an accredited institution, Bachelor's degree preferred. Five year's relevant experience. Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends. Light work with some physical demands such as continuously lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds, but rarely moving more than 25 to 50 pounds.
