Job Summary:

The Specialist will support the CU School of Medicine's user base of email communicators and event managers on the CU eComm platform. The Specialist will integrate communications best practices with technology capabilities to help communicators and event managers achieve results with eComm.

The Specialist will become an expert on Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Cvent applications and will provide support to the CU School of Medicine's account holders. Learn more about eComm at www.cu.edu/ecomm.

The role requires exceptional attention to detail and a versatile mix of technical and creative skills across communications, marketing, customer support, and database management. Leveraging eComm to serve internal and external users with digital communications best practices is a critical part of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

eComm Platform - Technical Support
  • Serves as a CU School of Medicine technical support specialist for Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Cvent applications in the CU eComm platform. Provides tactical and operational expertise for eComm users.
  • Understands all aspects of the eComm platform, including encouraging users to follow the CU School of Medicine guidelines and adhering to CU Anschutz's mass email communications policy.
  • Understands FERPA, HIPAA, CAN-SPAM, and other relevant federal and state legislation and university policies. Applies and enforces these guidelines in daily work and with eComm users.

eComm Platform - User Support
  • Provides timely support and assistance on Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Cvent applications to CU School of Medicine eComm users, in coordination with the Digital Communications Program Manager.
  • Provides user support that addresses the use of eComm applications (Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Cvent). When issues are not resolvable, escalates issues to the Digital Communications Program Manager.
  • Reviews and approves events in Cvent to align with correct integration settings, campus brand standards, and financial configurations.
  • Offers customer service that is prompt, accurate, and courteous.

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Entry Professional:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, marketing, communications, public or media relations, journalism, information technology, or other related fields.

Intermediate Professional:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business, marketing, communications, public or media relations, journalism, information technology, or other related fields.
  • One (1) year of experience in a communications support, digital marketing position, or similar role.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Academic and/or professional background in communications, marketing, design, database administration, or information technology.
  • Experience with email marketing applications in general, and Salesforce and Marketing Cloud in particular.
  • Experience with event registration/management applications in general, and Cvent in particular.
  • Professional experience in higher education, research, or healthcare industries is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies, especially in a large organizational and academic setting.
  • Knowledge of digital and email marketing best practices.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as

· Entry Professional: $46,116 to $58,660

· Intermediate Professional: $50,185 to $63,835

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
